Put A Spring In Your Step With Z Coil Shoes

If you haven’t heard about Z Coil shoes yet, they are, simply put, the coolest shoes on the planet. Now, when I say this, I don’t mean that you should expect to see your favorite celebrity sporting them to the Oscars any time soon. And I don’t think they will be the hotness at your local clubs, although you never can tell what will catch on with glowstick toting dance fiends. In fact, scratch that. I can completely imagine someone waving the glowsticks and bouncing around.

Bouncing around is exactly what it is, you see. Z Coil shoes are sneaker like contraptions with a spring affixed to the heel of them. Not a clandestine thing inside the shoe, but an actual coil coming out of the heel with a platform attached to it to walk on. They reduce impact as you walk to the tune of 50 percent. For comparison, you can expect the average, cushioned, running shoe to reduce impact by about 4 percent. Talk about a spring in your step! Z Coil shoes are touted to be great for people with pain in their legs, knees, or lower back.

And why do I say they are the coolest shoes on the planet, you may ask. I have one word for you… Tigger. Remember when he was bouncing around with the springs on his feet and you know you wanted them too? Well, here it is on a silver platter!

Furthermore, for those who are yet to be convinced that they need to try a pair of these, may I point out the widely accepted passtime if pogo-sticking. And how about trampolining. Let’s face it, bouncing is just fun, health benefits or not.

Personally, I’m going to run out and get me a pair of these Z Coil shoes and hop all the way home. And if I pass any basketball courts on the way, maybe I’ll try for that elusive slam dunk. Or maybe jumping over a house.

Oh, the possibilities.

  1. Hello,
I agree that Z-Coil’s are the coolest shoes out there, but to be correct, they do not make you jump higher (but you may land softer).

The shoes help with joint problems and (as the website says) foot, leg and back pain. For me, I can run longer in them because the coil in the heel gives an energy return.

There are many celebrities who wear them too. Dustin Hoffman, Matt Damon, Helena Bonham Carter.

I agree – really cool shoes!! It’s good to look unique!
